Is Daniel Amokachi one of the greatest Nigerian Footballers of all time?
Daniel Amokachi nicknamed “The Bull” , was born December 30, 1972 in Kaduna.
Daniel was discovered playing for the Ranchers Bees in Kaduna, and was quickly recruited to the national team.
He proceeded to play in Belgium, then England, winning the FA Cup with Everton.
Daniel was part of the team that participated in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and 1998 FIFA World Cup
He was also on the team that won the 1994 African Nations Cup.
Daniel Amokachi helped Nigeria to secure the Olympic gold medal in 1996, scoring in the Gold Medal game itself against Argentina!
Unfortunately, Amokachi sustained an injury just ahead of the 1998 FIFA World Cup. It would undo his career.
