SHOCKING: Chiddy Bang – The 7-minute freestyle Chiddy Bang – Translation
By
YES YES, Y’ALL! He don’t STOP!
This new kid on the block, Chidera Amakeze, aka Chiddy, aka Proto, is simply unbelievable.
Watch as he freestyles on random topics for almost SEVEN MINUTES.
Get this guy on Jimmy’s Jump Off, QUICK.
Notice how Chiddy raps about everything and everyone around him.
This isn’t reciting pre-written lines.
This is real freestyling.
Like what you hear? Vote for Chiddy (aka Proto) in the “Naija’s Top 10 Rappers of 2010″ competition.

How would you guys be considering someone that has nothing about Nigeria on his Biography as one of the Nigerian best rappers of 2010, that I don’t understand. He is reping New Jersey, U.S to the fullest in all his Biography description. I also think the same with Wale, although they said in his Biography about his parents been from Nigeria. But the guy is also reping Baltimore, DC, not Nigeria. I live in the United States, and I have never heard of any interview he did and he was like am from Nigeria, so I think you guys shouldn’t even consider them in this ranking. Just my opinion.
Emeka, what’s good?
Men, I gbadun your comment. Very well thought out. Thanks, my guy.
After deliberation, we chose to include WALE FOLARIN and CHIDDY (but not CHAMILLIONAIRE) for the following reasons:
– Wale Folarin, while repping the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area of the United States first and foremost, shouts out Nigeria in a number of his tracks. He doesn’t just MENTION Nigeria, but uses metaphors and references that show he is close to the Nigerian culture. It’s actually surprising how current and relevant his references are, considering he’s never been to Nigeria.
Ultimately, we included him, and let people decide.
He’s been #3 on the list for almost 2 weeks, so it appears many Nigerians are fans of his, and validate his presence on the list.
CHIDDY actually has performed on an eLDee track, and according to some reports, is recording with Trybe Records under the moniker PROTO. So while he hasn’t included Nigerian references in his rhymes to our knowledge, he is recording with a Nigerian label –>

Chamillionaire, while he has declared he’s Nigerian in a YouTube vid, you wouldn’t know it from any of his music references, or his artist affiliations. That may change in the future.
Thanks, Emeka!
